Hungry

I really fancy munching on some cheese and biscuits but I’ve run out of crackers.

What’s a fella to do in a situation like this?

Try cheese and fruit instead? Grapes work particularly well! or alternatively how about some nice bread? Granary loaf or Baguette I’m thinking.

Mmmm, I’m salivating at the thought of it!

One goes to an emporium sporting purveyours of the finest comestables and one replenishes ones supply of crackers. Might I suggest the taking of notes and coins of the realm which will be required to exchanged in return for the goods you require.

Sorry, one is in one of those moods today 🙂

  3. go to the shop eh.

have u named the rats yet?? can we have a pic??

  4. Fellow Jason, I’m out of grapes too. Curses! Maybe some cheese on toast and a tasty apple….

Cowboy, sounds like a plan. Alcohol always goes with cheese.

Dom, jolly good plan. I think I may prefer to use a line credit rather than coins of the realm though.

Tan, I would go to the shops but I’m working from home with my poorly little boy. Rather I’m working and he’s coughing and calling for his ted.

The rats are sort of named but my camera still isn’t working.

Make chesse crackers…they’re easy and scrumpo…
    1/2 c Butter Or Margarine
    1 1/2 c Unbleached Flour; Sifted
    1/2 t Salt
    1 t Baking Powder
    1 ds Cayenne Pepper
2 c Cheddar; Extra Sharp, finely grated.

Stir the dry ingredients into a bowl and then cut in the butter to
resemble cornmeal. Blend in the cheddar cheese with a fork until
well blended. Mix in the remaining ingredients and shape into
1 1/2 to 2-inch rolls. Chill for 30 to 40 minutes in the
refrigerator and then slice each roll into slices about 1/4-inch
    thick.

Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 400 degrees F for about
10 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet and let cool. Store the
cooled crackers in airtight containers in a cool place. They will
keep for several weeks this way and if you freeze them, they will
    last indefinitely.

    MMMMM

  6. somebody makes crackers! GG! you really do that?
i was going to suggest that he send for the Hildy to go for crackers on her way home….wonder what she will bring this time? 😉

you said “fancy”. that’s just weird.

  8. GG, if I cover them in marmite do they taste even better?

OC, she’d probably come back with a horse.

Tam, what does it mean in Americaland?

  9. I guess the worst case situation is that you just get to nibble on some cheese as I’m not sure that have chocolate cake instead of crackers would be in any way palatable.
