The Jury is in

I was supposed to start jury service today.

I got a letter that said I wasn’t needed.  It was direct and didn’t spare my feelings at all.  Even though I really didn’t want to do it I’m feeling slightly rejected.  It’s as if my opinion isn’t valued.

Well damn them all, they can find justice elsewhere without me.

Dang, I was wondering how you were getting on in court and whether or not the whole thing (your book) was interesting (or whether the case included hammers)

I’m wondering if this is a case of you being singled out (as is the case with over subscription to seats on flights) or whether the jury as a whole was disbanded. (Maybe the case was dropped, settled out of court, or “higher” justice took hold resulting in a death of one or other of the participants)

  2. I’m not sure whether this is a lucky escape for yourself, or for the criminals*

    * lets face it they are in court so clearly guilty anyway. 😀

Most likely more a case of ‘not required’, when a jury is first chosen there can be as many as twenty called in and the twelve chosen from them, the rest discarded, I’ve had previous experience of this and yes, they can be unfeeling, coldhearted gits, goes with the job title I guess, sometimes six days a week dealing with criminals etc must have an effect, no take it personally Froggy!!
