Does a clean house indicate that there is a broken computer in it?

My laptop died on the train today.

It just froze and wouldn’t respond.  When I restarted it I got a blue screen of death and then nothing.  Just disk error, replace disk and restart.  It’s kaput.

Obviously I didn’t have a backup to my completed TMA.  That would make sense.

Ho hum.  Time to start again.  That is assuming I can’t get it going at work tomorrow.

  1. Oh crappy pant… thats bad. I bet you had that sinking feeling getting the dreaded blue screen. Are you sure you didnt back it up?

  2. Positive. I normally do but I’ve been so busy recently that I’ve not had time to. A lesson I have learnt well.

  3. oh shame i hope that its not going to take to long to re do it all..

  4. Did you try holding your nose, big toe and closing one eye while pressing F8 repeatedly and the power button?
    That might work?!

  5. Fab, it shouldn’t take long. It wasn’t that difficult and I’ve got plenty of time. It’s just annoying.

Returning Chap, isn’t that how magic works?
